Cambodia Casinos
November 1st, 2015 by Teagan

There is an appealing background to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just over the border from next door Thailand, where gambling den wagering is not allowed. Eight gambling halls are anchored in a relatively small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent destination, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a few controls requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is assumed to be largely Thai; still, funding sources are cryptic. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 1700, and although visas are apparently required to cross, there are ways around this, as is accurate of most borders.

The initial Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored bateau casino, features one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 60 gaming tables. The Naga river boat never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of 21, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long followed. A total of 150 slot machines and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slot machine games and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and ninety six table games, including eighty seven baccarat banque (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and sixty six of the familiar table games, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around resort and hotel compound that features numerous amenities accompanying the gambling den, which offers ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machines and eighty eight table games.
